Protein powders, a $3+ Billion industry it is no wonder that their are isles donated to them in so-called health stores and grocery isles! But are they safe? Do they contain what they say? How do you know?
Welcome to the confusing world of label ready! You most likely have been a victim of fraud, I know I have!
Most contain ingredients that are not necessary in a PROTEIN POWDER and if they contain a list of so-called vitamins and minerals are they synthetic? Most likely the answer will be YES!
Making sure you read labels to understand what you are getting.
Avoid all shakes containing sucralose. Aspartame and sucralose, sold under the brand name Splenda, are two varieties of commonly used artificial sweeteners. These are known to elevate your risk of cancer and in my mind, toxic to the body!
What about SOY?
With 98.8% of the soly sold in the good 'ol US of A, is genetically Modified Organism, AKA GMO! We have seen a huge increase in cancers, autism, diabetes and overall decline of health since GMO foods were introduced to the mass market (grocery stores) in 1996!
Less than 10 ingredients in your shake. Should be organically derived and that means even the grass the cows eat! Do you know the USDA bought the rights to the word organic! Yep, they now can define what the word means! Buyer beware!!!
I only use 2 shakes. The IDLife Vanilla or chocolate whey protein or the IDLife Vegan shakes. I have tried hundreds. Some extremely high quality and taste awful, to the point you can't drink it. To me that does no good!
I have tried some really nasty poor quality ones and your body will let you know its bad!
I found that the IDLIfe shakes offer everything I recommend and more. Safe for those even having kidneys concerns. They have a kids shake with only 12 grams of protein and the adult whey is 23 and the vegan 20 grams!
